TIL that this quote exists

Wow

Well, let's not tell anyone because this shuts the old yapper's clap trap it's good enough for me. Anyway, socrates didn't say anything because he was largely a made up composite character, Socrates is basically Aristotle's Fan Fic

Technically that doesn't prove Socrates never said it, he might've, though it would be one hell of a coincidence. It amuses me to think we'll never know.

There is a legitimate quote from Plato in the Socratic dialogs that is relevant though...

Especially in this context:

Social media is RUINING OUR CHILDREN!
Video Games are RUINING OUR CHILDREN!
Rock and Roll is RUINING OUR CHILDREN!
Dungeons and Dragons is RUINING OUR CHILDREN!
Comic Books are RUINING OUR CHILDREN!
Jazz is RUINING OUR CHILDREN!
. . .
"they will appear to have condemned you rightly, for whose is a corrupter of the laws will appear in all likelihood to be a corrupter of youths and weak-minded men." Plato - Crito

Fabricated history...getting harder and harder to find truth out there if not impossible :(
