Looks like Google is cracking down on the possible competition. The only phones I’m interested in now are the ones with unlocked bootloaders, I’m not interested in the shiny features if I have to fight my phone to just use it.

This was the whole point of getting a damn pixel in the first place, for me, for when the official support ends, tired of throwing out perfectly good hardware cause "u no need update software, u need update hardware"

What are the exact consequences? Does this mean that Pixel Phones aren't supported anymore by custom ROMs?
