Oxford University's curriculum didn't include calculus when the school first opened, because it hadn't been invented yet

    My favorite is a strike that occurred in Minnesota in the 1910s, because of the name. It's called The Revolt of the Timberbeasts

    I always like the ones that compare time. Like Cleopatra lived closer to now, than she did the pyramids being built. Or mammoths extinction happened after the pyramids were built. Or Trex lived closer to seeing 8k TV than to seeing a stegosaurus.
