On my flight back to Colorado I took a nice enough picture of Denver and thought it would look great if it was tiny. Using Snapseed I tried to add tilt shift and adjust the filters, contrast, etc. so it looks close and tiny. My mom is giving me all her cameras and lenses for Christmas apparently so photo editing is something I should start working on.

My plan is to take my own reference photos to paint as well.

Below is the original photo.

Does this count as art?

I'm not really happy with the colors. Advice? I can see it looks more like a filter than it's close but what would I do in a tool to fix it? I played with color scale, contrast, brightness, etc. and it just looks filtered instead of close to me.

First, I feel like the look it has rn makes very happy because it feel like a little video game.

Second, from my understanding there is a way of doing contrast where you take brightness and create an S curve centered on the median brightness value so that you don't shift the median you just expand from it. Can look a bit more natural that basic contrast.
