you seem to be putting avlot of effort into rationalizing and none into finding the line, or admitting its a problem. no other scenario fits.

I don't have to put any effort into rationalizing my position, because it's already rational. Because I arrived at it rationally, via discursive thinking over a period of time in which learning has been continuous.

Rationalization is what irrational people to to attempt to justify an unjustifiable position.

And since you've approached this interaction in bad faith from the start, I feel no moral nor intellectual obligation to engage with you seriously.

Why would I search for "the line" in a strawman argument? There's no problem on my end to admit in that regard, because the "problem" you deem so relevant is one that you made up and attempted to give my stamp of approval to. It was an argument that I never made, and so my hands are clean in this engagement.

That's the scenario. Feel free to frame it to yourself however you like. You're in a dark room, painting the walls with your own delusion, and calling the open sky ignorant of reality.

oh. so what's the number then? that you arrived at rationally?

or do you think the regime hasn't killed any innocent people who wouldn't have died otherwise?

There is no number. Because that's a strawman argument that you pulled out of your ass, and I'm refusing to engage with it on a matter of principle.

  • so you don't think regimes like this one kill innocent people. everyone they killed was either going to die anyway, or the death was just and righteous? every kid who dies of measles everybody who ate the wrong lettuce and shit themselves to death every brown person who was shot or extradited to a concentration camp and every anarchist killed by cops as revenge for speaking up about it, every Venezuelan or Iranian killed in a stupid pointless unprovoked war, every climate casualty that comes from what's done to the climate during this time.

they all deserved it and its fine?
