I get changing a rule or two here or there, but the books are expensive. If you're going to ignore 70% of the core rules, ignore 70% of a less expensive game instead.
You know I kinda agree with both. Rules are guidelines, do fun stuff. But at the same time, change enough rules and you're like, 'why not just play Pathfinder?'. So yeah I just play Pathfinder.
