Representative Thomas Massie, who pushed for the original Epstein Files Transparency Act, has a new bill he’s going to force through the House.

“When we return next week, we’ll get 218 signatures for Epstein Files Transparency Act II, which guarantees a vote,” Massie wrote Thursday on X. “Survivors will be able to get their own records, State Attorneys General can prosecute crimes, and we can take the DOJ to court for keeping critical files hidden.”

Massie, who has made an enemy of Trump by opposing the Iran war and pushing for the full release of the Epstein files, first passed the Epstein Transparency Act in November 2025. And though President Trump signed it into law, Massie, Democrats, and a few Republicans argue that his administration didn’t fully abide with what the act required.

“The Department of Justice has flagrantly and consistently ignored EFTA’s disclosure requirements,” Massie wrote earlier this summer in his announcement of the Epstein Files Transparency Act II, co-sponsored by Democratic Senators Ben Ray Luján and Jeff Merkley, and Democratic Representatives Ro Khanna and Teresa Leger Fernández.

mccain only became a decent human being once he knew he was dying. too little too late. his entire career up to that point, he still enabled the republican the policy that got us where we are right now.

At the very least he raised his daughter with the same sort of respect for people that have different political ideology by displaying it himself in the middle of a presidential election. During a campaign event a woman calimed she couldn't trust Obama because he was an arab, and his response was:

"No ma'am, he's a decent family man, citizen, that I just happen to have disagreements with on fundamental issues, and that's what this campaign is all about."

Is it just a single point of reference into his character, yes, but I think considering the context of the moment helps give it weight. I think claiming he's not a 'decent human being' is a bit hyperbolic but I was just 12 years old at the time.

I'm in AZ and was in my 20s then. I disagreed with him on a lot of things but always thought he was a halfway decent person. He seems like a saint compared to the fucking garbage people we're dealing with now. One of his last acts was to deny the Republicans taking away Obamacare. He wasn't perfect but whatever. The hyperbolic shit people say is just not reality. Too many people are just black and white about literally everything. People are messy and imperfect.

Ain't that the truth! People need to learn to see in shades of Gray. Nothing is ever just black and white, like they love to portray it... unless you're talking about things like Epstein. There, you can have your black and white, because Epstein and Trump are clearly rapist monsters. One is dead. The other one needs to be taken down.
