The $94.3 million, "high-visibility, intelligence-led" Armed Response Command (ARC), which was officially launched on Sunday, was among a range of reforms introduced by the NSW government after the Bondi Beach terror attack on 14 December 2025.

We have response units, they are rarely out and about like this for a reason.

This isn’t stopping another attack from occurring because it has to be at the right place at the right time.

We don’t need this additional unit, anywhere in Australia. It’s a bad path to be following.
