On the other hand, it was a tradition where I'm from to use the snowed-in windows on the second floor to store all manner of fridge items by opening the window and scooping out cubbies for them before closing the window to keep them cool. (and you warm, ofc) Beers, ice cream, tv dinners, you name it!

Hell, we had glass door fridges long before they were invented! 🤣
