Get in there while it's 6 hours old; help promote the fediverse if you still have an account there.

OP is frustrated with reddit culling r/all. While I personally have rarely done that on reddit even back in 201X I find that I have to occasionally go to All here for a bit more content when I'm mindlessly wasting time :P

There's already a comment thread in there educating one commentor.

Is there any app that let's you aggregate the different servers, so I can read content from multiple as if it was one site?

We need better messaging lol. This is why I don't like the word "instances" or "servers", I prefer "gateways" or "access points"

    Yeah I've been kind of struggling with what words to use as well. For now I've been using instances only, never mentioning servers and emphasize the connectedness.

    I kind of conflicted. On the one hand, I don't mind too much. This might be slightly mean and non inclusive but this is filtering and gatekeeping and maybe that's okay.

    On the other hand I do want more less techy users in to populate the less techy communities. This slows down the joining rate.

    Don't use the word "instance". Don't mention anything. If anyone asks, tell them it's all technical backend stuff that doesn't matter to the end user. Send them to piefed.zip and/or lemmy.zip.

    Just drop the instance concept altogether. Point them to old piefed zip and piefed zip (not sure if Reddit blacklists the links) and let them figure it out.

    The set up here with so much importance on different "instances" and all the "fediverse" talk is all off putting.

    That, along with the insane RU propaganda communities like ml is going to send people looking for somewhere else.
