Yen also mentioned “org changes,” and said that part of this is “redistributing talent across teams.” He said that the reorganization will happen next month, “but there will be no loss of jobs from AI.”

TL; DR Nothing has really changed, we're just going to be more discreet to avoid further backlash, also layoffs are coming, don't worry, we won't say it's because of AI.

This is why you don't bargain with terrorist tech bros. Andy and his cronies need to go.

Is there something in technology that just fucks with people's brains? It seems like Proton started out alright, but it got into Andy's head and now... he praises Trump and goes full-AI as a privacy company? What the fuck?

It's the money, they start making too much and all of a sudden they don't have enough.

Honestly at least some of it does feel like LLMs are part of it. I know my management used to be really cautious about introducing breaking changes or changing anything that could affect customers, now that AI is here it's full steam ahead lets fuck everything as fast as possible. It's very strange how quickly it's happened.

Not tech. Business/finance bros. Even the 'tech' bros that everyone complains about are 90% of the time MBAs or "entrepreneurs".

The people who actually care about technology want these fuckos destitute probably more than most if they don't also have aspirations of being a founding executive of some shit.

Explain how building AI products is fundamentally incompatible with privacy?

Not on the data of proton users. It could be trained on the personal data of all google customers for all I care, Lumo is as private and privacy friendly as AI gets https://proton.me/blog/lumo-security-model

LMAO. So you never sent an email to a service using google or microsoft? You've never communicated with somebody that has an email client that summarises their messages for them? You think that AI is only trained on Google customers. Your brain must be gigantic!
