This got removed from politics because "Video links are not allowed" apparently? Pretty weird considering that most politicians say stuff on video nowadays and not really writing articles anymore since the invention of the radio pretty much lol. Hope it's a better fit here, this is the kind of stuff people should be aware of.

Josh Turek of Iowa, Democrat, comes out with one of the worst anti-trans ads yet.

Not only is it an anti-sports ad, it proposes a ban on federal funding for gender affirming care. That would hit all medicaid and medicare patients, and any ACA federally-subsidized plans as well.

I don’t live in Iowa, so I don’t know what the other primary candidates were like. Does it suck that this is the winner of the Democrat party? Absolutely, but apparently that’s what a majority of Democrats in Iowa wanted.

No fucking clue, but what the reality of the situation is that either a D or R are going to win this race.

What is your solution to this scenario? Let Hinson win so that there can be even more harm?

The more seats the Republicans win/hold in Congress, the worse off the entire country will be.

    You don't have to live in Iowa for me to understand this, because you've already made it pretty clear what side you'd be on if it were a decision you need to make. And it's not on the side of trans people.

    Interesting that there are several people that simply REFUSE to answer what they would do in this scenario.

    Given the choice of Turek or Hinson, what would you do?

    Don’t give me philosophical what-if scenarios. This is the reality of the ballot box in Iowa.

    I already told you what I would do, you just don't want to listen. I would go to the polling place and vote, while not voting on this seat. This would be a part of a coordinated campaign that also uplifts the voices of trans people during and after, to make it impossible for the dnc to ignore.
