Cop could have just said "Are you for real? Did you really waste police resources on this?"

They trespassed the kid, so the police had no choice but to escort him out. Which absolutely is a waste of police resources, but is also perfectly legal and follows the process.

In more reasonable countries, nobody can trespass you from a football field, unless you give them a very good reason like repeated physical assault.

Who trespassed the kid? Like I know it says "the league" but the league obviously didn't have any meeting or come to a consensus in time to make that decision.

The other parents repeatedly complained about their kid not being able to participate in the make-believe form of a soccer played at age 3/4/5

How would they have the authority to file a trespass in a league game? It would have to be a league representative, wouldn't it?

Otherwise parents in that league should just file trespasses against the opposing team to get a win every match.

And followed up with a ticket. This happened at work when some teen tried to fax and couldnt figure out dialing out over 9 or 1. Somehow faxed 9911Xxxxxx so the fax called the police. They showed up and fined us for the waste of time.
