The thing is that the very reason he's afraid is because the conservative take makes no sense and it's just hatred for hatred's sake -- he can't explain it to his kids without making it sound that way, because that's exactly what it is!

"Sometimes God makes people who have a boy's body and a girl's brain."

"So why are the tv people against what God did?"

"Well those people they don't have to be like that."

"But if they have a boy's body and a girl's brain, how is that their fault?"

"Goddamnit political ads you kids are too young to be exposed to this!!"

"Sometimes God makes people who have a boy's body and a girl's brain."

"God makes people exactly as they should be, but sometimes people are tricked by sinners, start thinking their body was made wrong, like wanting to be a girl if they're a boy, and try to change it."

"So why are the tv people against what God did?"

"Really? Wow! I remember when Sarah tricked me into getting the sticker and not m&ms for treasure box today; I didn't like it. 😟 "

FTFY: Not that I don't agree with you or get your point, but I think you're giving a lot of conservatives way too much credit in thinking outside their box. Any part of the LGBTQ+ community is a choice to most of them.

I guess if you were right he would have no problem explaining that viewpoint -- most of these people don't actually know why they're anti-trans they just know they're "supposed" to and can't answer a six year old's questions about why
