I half jokingly googled autistic meme communication so that I could make a meme to share with my fellow autists at work about how they should just let us communicate via memes, but this is better than I could have ever imagined ๐Ÿ˜…

The dataset was categorised into eight topics: Social Interactions (n = 190), Emotions and Mental Health (n = 68), Cognitive and Behavioural (n = 56), Sensory Experiences (n = 38), Diagnosis and Support (n = 34), Stereotypes (n = 19), Workplace (n = 15), and Love for Cats (n = 8).

I haven't read it yet but I would love to understand how memes, which are built on implied meaning, are so prevalent in autistic communication? Is it because of the shared experiences? Fascinating stuff!

(for those that don't play Pokemon. The Pokemon is using an attack that has a 55% chance to apply the "confused" condition)
