This has been my dream since I saw the movie Grounhog's Day.

  • I hate to go all Cracked After Hours on us, but...Groundhog Day 2: The Rest Of February wouldn't be a lighthearted movie.

Phil is what? 35,40 years old? It isn't established firmly in canon but he spends at least a few hundred if not a few thousand years in that time loop, enough to learn multiple skills, memorize an entire town's schedule for an entire day. And then he's just...out. Time starts flowing normally for him again.

He's spent most of his life from his perspective knowing what is going to happen next. He's spent most of his life treating people like NPCs. He's almost certainly not going to cope well going back to work as a news weatherman, from his perspective he hasn't given a weather forecast in centuries, and nobody is going to believe a word he says about having spent his life in a time loop because now the only way he can prove it is giving detailed biographies of the townsfolk.
