Behavior like this is going to drive people away from your cause.

Do you really think you're changing people's minds by being a cunt?

I don't really fucking care, tbh.

If you're an ecocidal narcissist, then the sweetest plea I could make will fall on deaf ears. You've already decided your convenience is more important than the environment or anyone else's safety. I just want to make sure you know how much contempt decent people have for you.

You do realize that many people do not have access to public transportation, right? Having a personal vehicle isn't always a choice.

But being a cunt is a choice.

You do realize that many people do not have access to public transportation, right?

And yet the politicians preventing that sleep soundly in their beds every night. Sounds like a skill issue to me.

There is no version of the automobile as personal transportation you can convince me is ethical. Anyone who thinks they're being forced to drive and isn't fighting tooth and nail against the system "forcing" them to drive is just another ecocidal narcissist who values their convenience above anyone else's life.

You need to get out of your echo chamber. Life isn't black and white like that.

You need to get out of your echo chamber

That's an absolutely hilarious thing to say in defense of the societal default position. The fact that your echo chamber is pretty much everyone everywhere doesn't make it not an echo chamber.

Life isn't black and white like that.

It actually is. Which is why nobody has any argument in favor of motornormativity that wouldn't completely evaporate if motornormativity weren't the default everywhere.

The fact that you see the issue as a binary choice means you've spent too much time in your "fuck cars" echo chamber.

Your biggest logical fallacy is assuming that everyone who doesn't have a choice but to own a car in order to survive wants things to be that way.

I don't have a choice. I have to cross a highway to get into town, and riding my ebike isn't safe at all. Before that I lived out in the country about 15 miles from the city.

I also vote for every public transit measure my city has, as well as politicians who support increasing public transit. Yet your assertion is that I'm a narcissistic monster who wants the world to burn.

    I don't have a choice.

Because the secret police would kill you if you moved to the other side of the highway? Or do you have a medical condition that can only be treated by herbs growing in that one stretch of suburbia?

There's always a choice. The choice is generally much more difficult and less convenient than doing nothing. So most people choose to think they have no choice.
