I went to see Sammy Rae & the Friends (great jazz pop band from Brooklyn), and nearly everybody was dressed in 1970s costumes! I understand at a metal show people wear black, but this was next level, very maximalist and intricate costumes. Are concerts all costume parties now, or this unique?

yeah i'd consider it a costume because i see people wear metal, goth, punk stuff on a regular night in LA, but while some 70s fashions are back in, ive never seen a costume event like this outside of halloween or a convention
