Pretty good story and acting. They've nicely painted themselves into a corner with Hal Jordan being shot dead.

Let's see if they blow it with a dream sequence, alien deus ex-machina, or multiverse bullshit.

Tap for spoilerThey have the ability to keep Hal coming back as a ring hologram for a while, mentoring Jon Stewart once he becomes an actual Green Lantern.

Alternatively, they could have the dead Hal Jordan end up as another Manhunter?

Tap for spoilerWell after e8 it seems the hologram is out, but Sinestro implies he can resurrect actual Hal with John and the new lantern.

I hope that happens in S2, Kyle Chandler is great so far. He's determined, he cares, and yet he's often aloof, even callous (leaving John to burn to death). I think the show would really struggle without him in it.
