Data sent by vehicles and companion apps included locations, VINs, and other identifiers. Amazon, Google, Meta, and Microsoft were among the top receivers of driver data.

Slate truck will have no telematics module by default. No phoning home. You can buy one as an option, but I suspect the only people buying slate who want it connected will be businesses
