I can’t be hallucinating. fedia.io/m/law seems to have existed according to lemmyverse or something, IIUC.

I was wondering about this too. Does anyone know what happened to m/law, or if there’s another active community for the same topics?

When I search various datasets for: “law legal policy rules gdpr”, I get:

    • ibbit.at/c/electionlawblog
    • rss.ponder.cat/c/electionlawblog
    • rss.ponder.cat/c/foreignpolicy
    • ibbit.at/c/foreignpolicy
    • lemmy.sdf.org/c/law_us
    • slrpnk.net/c/newrules
    • europe.pub/c/Law
    • civilloquy.com/c/law
    • lemmy.today/c/leftist_lawyer ← apparently gone
    • feddit.uk/c/opca “Organised Pseudolegal Commercial Arguments (pseudolaw, freemen-on-the-land and sovereign citizens)”
    • feddit.uk/c/legaladviceuk
    • feddit.uk/c/uklaw
    • thelemmy.club/c/Law
    • feddit.uk/c/legaladvice
    • fedia.io/lawyers
    • fedia.io/law ← apparently gone
    • sopuli.xyz/c/gdpr

I omitted results that are irrelevant (e.g. NoLawns) and non-English, and oppressive instances like those of Cloudflare.

Thanks for sharing this list. I was mainly looking for an active community where people still discuss legal issues and current developments. I’ll check some of these out. Appreciate the help!
