Replace the hippies with capitalists in your sentence and then read again.

Does that make sense ??

    I guess it makes sense. But I am not talking about capitalists.

    I am talking about hippies, and punks. I do not know any capitalists, but I was raised by two hippies, with lots of hippie friends. And I am a punk with many punk friends.
