Some context: his mother "allegedly" stole diapers from Walmart, and when they called the cops on her, tried to escape, "allegedly" almost striking one of the cops with her car (with the toddler in the car). And now she's seeking "answers"

    Not to argue semantics but ICE are definitely pigs, they're all recruited out of LEO and Border Patrol. They not standard-issue cops but they're all cut from the same piece of shit-cloth.

    Agree that they're worse though, it takes a special kind of shit to see everything going on and think, "i want to be part of that!'

    Yeah, and the sarcasm points to skepticism over the mother's story. Last I checked, sarcastically saying "allegedly" implies that you think it unnecessary, but you're checking your ass over liability. Meaning that you think that that is what happened.

    And sarcastically emphasizing "answers" implies that the mother has some secret game besides holding those responsible for the murder of child accountable.

    Like, am I fucking crazy for seeing this as filled with malice and hate for the victim?

    Yeah I guess I can read it that way. "Allegedly" implies "cops are lying" to me, but then "answers" implies "woman is lying"

    So actually I have no fucking clue what this person is trying to say.

    You're almost reading my comment correctly, only being a bit too emotional. There was no story provided in the post, and no link to an article, so I had to google it. The post was intentionally hiding the details I think, and I just provided some context also using quotes to express some of my thoughts, which made you mad. I don't condone the police. I think the American police are very dangerous, especially if you confront them and they are almost always not held accountable for their actions. I also think these details provide some context why this happened the way it did. Running away from cops with your child in the car is completely reckless in my opinion. If she didn't steal anything and had a receipt, even more so.

    You're blaming the mother.
    She's so desperate she had to steal childcare products. Things are going through her head like "the police will use lethal force", and "who will look after my baby". Of course she fled. She fled because she's a human being in an incredibly emotional state trying to care for her children.
    Completely understandable that she tried to escape. That's why police get cars, to chase people who do. It happens a lot.
    The cop, on the other hand, was at work and in charge of the situation, but murdered an infant.

    By saying "this is the way things are, whether it's fair or not, we all know the police might kill your kid", you're asking us to first accept that. And we absolutely should not.

    Not breaking the law does not protect you here in the US. She was black, she had reason to fear for her life, and as we hopefully all learned from Renee Good, cops literally never have jurisdiction to fire upon a driver in a vehicle. So this was cold blooded murder, no matter how you fucking slice it.

    You see, you made it too easy to make fun of anybody based on their preferred Internet forum, so now I can say: “Well, someone from .world not knowing how to read very simple context clues attempting to read something they agree with and misunderstanding it to the exact opposite degree.”

    Now I could call you stupid, but I’ve been trying to be more positive and patient lately in general so I’ll just tell you; any Marxist will agree that these fascist pigs deserve the worst. This cop literally killed a child, I don’t know how you could see the comment you replied to as pro cop, unless you’re reading too fast or some other disability is hindering your understanding.

    I think the context of not only this website but of Marxist analysis on America is lost on you. I don’t know what asd means but if that causes misunderstanding I’m sorry that you experience that but I think your analysis of the comment is dead wrong.

    Idk what they meant by putting answers in quotes but my human brain tells me that the commenter meant that this poor, poor mother wants to know why the fuck her som was shot and there’s no real answer besides “we live in a white supremacist country and these cops will probably face nothing for literally executing a child”. Obviously the mother probably knows that answer, but it will never fix anything.

    Someone surrounding words with quotes either is for emphasis (if you're older than 50), to denote someone else's word choice, to clarify what word you're talking about (how I've been using), or to denote that you're sarcastically saying those words. The first one makes no sense, I could maybe see the second but again I'm not seeing how it makes sense to read it that way, third makes no sense, and the last option seems to me to pour derision and hate on the victim.

    I'm not weaponizing incompetence to make some fucking twisted point, like you claim I am. I see someone using sarcasm to be a dickhead and I'm expressing incredulity about the dickheadedness. Please, for the love of fucking God, explain how I'm supposed to read these quotes in that comment that doesn't result in that person saying that the cops were justified in killing a kid. Because I want that to be the case, but I literally don't see how it could be so.

    Because of the context of the first two quotations , it reads to me like they are not supporting this but rather the opposite. I think the last one was probably just a mistake and not a very clear way to convey what they meant which is the typical status quo, because I don’t interpret it as “the victim doesn’t deserve an answer”. I think it’s clear that they meant this way of investigating police violence is all that will happen in this case and that’s unfortunate.

    I will. I in no way justify the cops and I think it's a tradegy. I also think the headline was knowingly misleading, hence I thought I'd provide some context. I don't know all the details and neither do you, so we can only speculate, but IMO she was too reckless and put her child in danger, knowing how dangerous it is to run from cops in America. In no way do I support the American police system. I'm also not a 100 % Marxist if it makes any difference.

    People like you don't make me sick, just uncomfortable because it's impossible to have a normal conversation with you. You're just putting labels on everyone you disagree with, like you calling me racist when I never even mentioned race, never even thought of it. I'm not part of your culture, I have no reason to be racist towards black people. There are thousands of cases when the police shot white people in US doing dumb shit and even "because they felt threatened". And you're not calling it hate crime. Maybe the cop in question was racist, I don't know. I'm just saying there's more to the story, that's all.
