That title is a joke on how poorly educated Americans are.

First, massacre natives to grab land. Second, massacre own citizens to build railroads. Third, massacre each other over keeping slaves or industrialize and keep poorly paid workers in inhuman conditions. And that just in the first century or so.

I'd say it would be more appropriate to say it's never seen corruption like this since the last time everyone forgot about corruption like this.
