I really like the setting and world building that is barely featured in the actual movies lol permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] roofuskit@lemmy.world 5 points 5 months ago (1 child) The original movies were made by a collaborative team, hence the quality. The prequels were made by emperor Lucas. I'm not saying he was overbearing, but at that point he was a legend. Who was going to tell him something was a bad idea or that his dialogue sucked? Nobody. But during the original trilogy the cast was constantly complaining to him about his dialogue. Star Wars was perfectly capable of being screwed up before Disney. Disney gave us crap, but they also gave us some of the best Animated star Wars, they oversaw games like Fallen Order and Jedi survivor, they oversaw Rogue One and Andor. Yeah Disney can make crap Star Wars but they've also made some of the best since the original trilogy. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 1 child comment replies: [–] KatakiY@lemmy.world 2 points 5 months ago Agreed.
