Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Tyne & Wear, England, UK.

A street scene in Newcastle's Quayside featuring the massive stone arches of a high-level railway viaduct towering over the roadway on the left. Through the largest arch, modern brick apartment buildings with balconies can be seen in the distance against a pale sky. To the right stands a traditional, multi-storey red brick pub named "The Dubliner", its facade brightly decorated with colourful hanging flower baskets and cascading strings of fairy lights above a dark green ground floor. Below, a road with pedestrian crossings, green traffic lights, and tall black lampposts runs beneath the viaduct. We've got a lot of them, if there's one thing the Victorians loved more than industrialisation and traditions from the history of England, it was importing architecture and decoration from ancient history of Greece and Rome.
