I haven't run into any issues yet permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 4 child comments replies: [–] BigTwerp@feddit.uk 5 points 6 months ago (3 children) There's no way to automatically open new folders in a tab. You can right click but in windows 11 it's hidden in the more options menu by default. You can overcome some of this with regedit but I only use windows for work and naturally I'm locked out of that. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 3 child comments replies: [–] innermachine@lemmy.world 1 point 6 months ago* (1 child) I have never been bothered by right clicking the folder then selecting new tab or new window if I don't want to just enter the folder, but at the top of the window on the bar there are 3 dots. Click that icon and hit options it pops a settings window up and u can select if u want 2x or single click to perform action and if u want to just enter the folder or by default have it open in a new tab or window. If w11 did one thing well I thought it was the new file explorer lol. I haven't done any regedits for these options but sucks to be locked out of that for many reasons!! permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 1 child comment replies: [–] BigTwerp@feddit.uk 1 point 6 months ago* I know how to use windows and the setting you mention above is reset on startup (edit, probably because it's a work computer). It also doesn't solve the actual problem. It is not natively possible to make tabbed explorer work as it should. permalink fedilink source parent [–] Echolynx@lemmy.zip 1 point 6 months ago There should at least be a shortcut for it. permalink fedilink source parent
