So, what does this mean for aussie.zone?

Does this mean we all need to get a Fairphone with e/os, or another non-android handset? What are the options for that?

Does this mean aussie.zone will break with the lemmy developers and become more independent? A kind of forced Fork?

Just wanting to get peoples opinions.

I don't have the cash to be upgrading my phone very often, although funds are probably going to have to shifted around soon for it. I haven't looked at Graphene OS, everybody talks about it like it is what Google android was meant to be.

Can it be installed on any handset? I ask because I've seen a lot of comments connecting it to the google pixel. Is that the only handset its compatible with?

    Yes at present it is only pixel devices 6 and up that Graphene will run on.

    There will be a Motorola device coming that will ship with graphene. Last I checked it's a long way off still.
