@WhiskyTangoFoxtrot @anotherspinelessdem It's amazing how many people seemed to miss the obvious last election cycle. Anyone who thought they were doing Gaza a favor by not voting for Harris was criminally ignorant.

It definitely wasn't doing the people of Gaza a favor, but it sure as hell was not giving bibi any more impunity slaughtering civilians.

@Bytemeister Actually it was. Kamala was one of the few people that actually challenged Bibi.

I was pretty pro-Kamala during 2024, but I do not recall that. I recall a Palestinian-American speaker being shut out of the DNC because of her opinion on how a country we were financially supporting was murdering her family. I recall Kamala saying after the election that she wanted to speak out against Israel's genocide, but part of the deal to get Biden to step down was to stay silent. I can for sure day that she would have tried to return to the status quo; a strained and sustained dispute in the West Bank. I think saying for sure that she was standing up to Bibi, or would have taken decisve action against Israel does not match the facts or pattern of behavior.

@Bytemeister I hope the anti Kamala vote was worth the 14 million deaths from US Aid cuts.Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was upset by Vice President Kamala Harris' on-camera statement after their meeting ..."It is time for this war to end in a way where Israel is secure, all the hostages are released, the suffering of Palestinians in Gaza ends and the Palestinian people can exercise their right to freedom, dignity and self determination," she said.axios.com/2024/07/26/israel-ne

I think you need to take a look at what I said again. I didn't vote against Kamala. I actively campaigned for her because I'm not a fucking moron, and I understand the principle of "Don't let Hitler II become the president... Again."

Take that statement that Kamala made and pretend that France said that about the US and Iran right now.

"...it is time to get this deal done. Let's get the deal done. So we can get a ceasefire to end the war. Let's bring the hostages home. And let's provide much needed relief to the Iranian people."

That doesn't really sound like an Anti-USA statement to me, and what Kamala said didn't sound like she was standing up to Israel. Bibi just pitched a fit because he's a whiny little bitch boi who wanted the US to actively and publicly espouse support for his ongoing genocide.

"...the suffering of Iranians ends and Iran's people can exercise their right to freedom, dignity and self determination"

Fuck, I'm pretty sure Trump said almost that exact thing when he attacked Iran. Doesn't really seem like he is against attacking Iran...

@Bytemeister It's almost like Trump is and has always been a F'ing dishonest scumbag, so what's your point?

My point is that a half-assed one time public comment calling for the status quo to be restored is supporting of my understanding of Kamala's campaign in 2024, and not supportive of a position that she was the only politician who was standing up to Israel.

The fact that you've read what I've posted and come to the conclusion that I'm making excuses for donald trump, speaks volumes about your media literacy and ability to understand context.

@Bytemeister It's not media literacy, it's a simple yes or no question. Was there any justification for people voting for a fascist Nazi that promised the bloody deportation of a million immigrants. Bernie says yes, I say no and F Bernie. What's your answer? The way you guys always try to hide what you're saying is crazy to me. Zero excuses for it, none, not one that I accept.

If you actually read, and understood my comments, then you would know the answer. The fact that you don't is, again, a very strong indicator that your ability to read and understand written text is limited.

I can quote the relevant section for you if you need assistance still, but previous interactions lead me to believe this would be a futile waste of time on my part.

I don't want to waste my time with a disingenuous troll, so let's make a deal. Let's put some "skin" in the game.

I wager that I can show you that the information you seek (Do I think it is acceptable to vote for a fascist promising to kill a bunch of people) from me has already been presented in our comments over the last day. I will show you this, if you agree to read a book of my choosing and write me a 500 word essay on the themes discussed in the book before you comment on the Fediverse again.

If I can't present the information you seek, then I'll read a book of your choosing and write you a 500 word essay on the themes of the book before I post on the Fediverse again.

Deal? You seem to like to shoehorn people into yes/no answers, so go ahead and respond in that fashion yourself.

Just a little preface, if you say no, then it's pretty obvious you're a troll who has no interest in actually discussing stuff, and there really isn't any need to reply at all TBH. You could also just not reply, and save us both some time.

@Bytemeister I won't vote for fascist Nazis and anyone who does can go F themselves along with anyone who thinks that's okay, including Bernie, if that offends you, I don't care.

Gotcha. A pretty firm self admission that you are trolling. Nothing you say from this point forward (or pretty much all the way back to th beginning) has any merit or substance. I won't be wasting anymore time on you.

I hope the anti Kamala vote was worth the 14 million deaths from US Aid cuts.

You were happy to have those cuts as long as no one was allowed to vote for someone who would tell your lord and savior netanyahu no.

“It is time for this war to end in a way where Israel is secure, all the hostages are released, the suffering of Palestinians in Gaza ends and the Palestinian people can exercise their right to freedom, dignity and self determination,” she said.

she also said she wouldn't do anything differently from the Biden administration. Which broke the law to sell weapons for a genocide like you wanted.
