Not sure how far I'll go with this but I'm having a lot of fun so far. Shoutout to https://opengameart.org for all my temporary assets.

So far I've got dialogue via Dialogue Manager, NPCs, factions, enemies with different weapons projectiles & hitscan, and 8 directional sprites. Not bad for 2 days work.

"boomer shooter"? In the style of shooter games from Gen-X was writing them (John Carmack), or a shooter of Baby Boomers?

In any case, good progress.

"Boomer Shooter" is a specific gaming genre classified as trying to remake/recapture the feeling of older games like Doom or Quake.

The name is still very silly. No boomers coded any of those games, it was gen x folks.
