Meh. This was the local police. They wanted the group off the road, and the group wouldn't move. I don't really have a problem with this. These protests that block traffic and stuff hurt the wrong people. The guy or girl driving wherever shouldn't be the target. Try disrupting actual commerce or production if you want to get the attention of the people in power.

Yeah, nah. Protests are only effective if they're disruptive

Yes, but disruptive to who. I am saying this was disruptive to people who have no power to change anything. Go block the access point to a major commercial point of entry or something. That will at least hurt the trucking company because they have to pay the drivers either way.

Economies utilize roads. Average Joe driving to work is engaging in commerce and/or production.

It appeared to me that she was on the sidewalk?? How you gonna say she was blocking the road when she’s on the sidewalk? Isn’t that where people are supposed to be?

What it said was that she was leading the protest, and both her and others had refused to leave the road when ordered. Likely this was by one or two cops. When they had to call more out, they arrested the people who had refused the order. At that point she was on the sidewalk, but they knew who she was.
