We did figure out how to stop the waxing machine, but we needed the Invisiclues to figure out that we need the wax to stop the maintenance man. We did temporarily disable him with the stone we acquired during the nightmare... But it did not work permanently. We will keep that in mind!

![> cut cord with axe The axe crashes againsr the floor, the power cord severs! The whine of the Floor waxer slows, and the maintenance man jerks to alertness.

pour wax It pours and spreads like ants at a picnic. Now covered The floor is now covered from wall to wall with slippery floor wax. The maintenance Man, growling foul-sounding imprecations descends from the floor waxer and heads towards you. But almost immediately, he slips on the floor wax.](https://assets.chaos.social/media_attachments/files/115/853/952/069/547/852/original/0038c8de753ee8ab.jpeg)

We also tried waiting and maiming the man with our other tools. But it invariably ended fatally.

It took us the #invisiclues to look into the access panel! It was so obvious.#lurkinghorror #interactivefiction

We find a flashlight in the elevator access panel.

And what do you know! The flashlight opens up a couple of before unknown rooms!

We are in the basement, discovering the dead storage, full of rotting pallets of junk.

And now the forklift comes into play. This puzzle is actually very straightforward and logical. But the fact we have to move the pallets four or five times is a bit excessive…

We move the rotten pallets using the forklift.

We discover a manhole (conveniently opened with the crowbar) that leads down to another level of basement or maybe sewers. It leads to a cave with an ominous slab. I bet this is an altar for sacrifices. Isn’t it?

We are in a renovated cave with a three foot high round slab made from granite.
