probably not a lot of public stats on e.g. deaths per mile with those scoots. though i bet the companies have that.

the cars do have some safety systems, vs zipsquat for the scoots. my impression is that your average scooter rider may be less cautious and less aware than your average cyclist, at least in my town, for what that's worth.
