The same year, they formed Infocom to commercialise it. In 1986, Infocom was bought by Activision, which became Mediagenic and then reverted to Activision. It created a holding company which merged with Vivendi Games in 2008 to form Activision Blizzard. Microsoft acquired Activison Blizzard in 2023.
