PieFed is ActivityPub compatible, but has some features that Lemmy doesn't. I'm just wondering if it has any differences that might go into your strengths and weaknesses assessment as a result. It's a bit like how kbin / mbin are similar to Lemmy but not quite the same. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 3 child comments replies: [+] irelephant@lemmy.dbzer0.com [S] 4 points 1 year ago (2 children) [deleted] permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] kai 2 points 1 year ago (1 child) PieFed also has feeds and you can create them to share with others (the instance itself and its users) just like BlueSky but instead of making it around a group of profiles, its made up of a group of communities. Then there's topics which is exclusively made available by the instance you're browsing from doing the samething but categorizing things in an organized way. Also, for you to create feeds on BlueSky you need to use a 3rd party service, while on PieFed its there by default and provided for everyone to do it directly from the default interface everyone uses. In that aspect, I think PieFed is ahead of Lemmy honestly. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 1 child comment load more comments (1 reply)
