No, freedom of press is not a measure of prosperity. And I don’t know many western countries that are in a position to point fingers at this point, considering how many journalists they’ve helped kill when they covered a genocide.

I don't see how China is in a position to point fingers considering the treatment of the uyghurs

They deradicalized a sect that had been trained to destabilize the region by western intelligence, and reintegrated them into society. The facilities don’t even exist anymore, because they were successful.

What would your country do in that situation?

My country did exactly that to the native population, and you know what we call the residential schools now? A fucking ethnic genocide.

We’re not talking about cultural erasure nor mass deaths. Just reeducating them from what the CIA and state dept did to them.

Autocorrect. Have any proof they killed anyone? Because the state dept was forced to admit they didn’t.

Yeah, they were still trying to double down on the lie, even as they admitted they were lying. The facilities don’t exist anymore, because the Uyghurs were successfully reintegrated.

No concern for their initial radicalization by western intelligence? Great concern for their claimed conditions from years ago? No acknowledgment of their current status and well-being, because it doesn’t fit the narrative?

You couldn’t be more obvious.

No concern for violence and genocide committed by the Chinese government? Great concern for towing the party lines? No acknowledgement of the cultural genocide committed by the Chinese government because it doesn't fit the narrative?

Nope. No concern of claims of violence that were never substantiated. Especially since the people who made up the lies don’t even repeat them now, because we can see Uyghurs thriving and practicing their culture now.

Maybe you’ve been frozen since 2015. It’s 2025 now.

Except for all the people that suffered it never happened. You wake up and tell yourself "there is no war in Ba Sign Se"?

Again, you are so offended that they were deradicalized and reintegrated. Not a word of distain for the western spies who tried to train them for terrorism. Because you liked that part.

Y’all are really having trouble recruiting domestically too, if this is the best you’ve got.

You didn’t read a single one of these. You just looked at the published dates. If you read the articles, it’s still all old claims, most almost 10 years old. And one acknowledges the facilities were closed, and China is celebrating Uyghur culture.

I didn't read all of them, but I certainly read more of them than you did. Old claims are still valid if the situation hasn't been resolved. One said the facilities are closed but still a massive amount of this particular demographic is imprisoned. Can't fucking make this up
