This episode was fantastic, but I'm struggling with the premise in the title. If a billionaire didn't need —anyone—, then… what's the point? They can't even spend the money they have — the point of accumulating wealth is to 1. keep score and one-up their billionaire buddies and 2. to push people around. What good is all that money and power if not to exert it over others?

You can't eat $500B worth of food.

if Trump would agree to disengage in Ukraine, Putin would agree to give Trump control in Venezuela

    Fuckin' what lol

Russia isn't in charge of what happens on its Ukrainian border or within the Black Sea, what gives anyone the idea that they could determine the course of events a whole hemisphere away?

Also, Putin has been making all these performative shows of solidarity with Maduro leading up to the invasion. Not that it did Maduro any good once shit got real. I don't think he would do that if Trump invading and highlighting his impotence was part of the goal.

The Greenland thing, I can definitely believe, certainly there is no other reason for Trump to care about Greenland in any capacity other than that Putin put the idea in his head to fuck with NATO, which is working. That stuff, Putin's good at.

Implement the law regardless. Unlike most of us plebs, these parasites don't earn much in wages, their wealth is tied up in assets. Buildings, real estate, businesses, shares etc which help them avoid income taxes but aren't always easy to take with them or may be possible to tax regardless of location.

It's like they never left their rebellious teenage phase, with wild ideas on how to "fix" the world; except they combine it with a frightening amount of power and influence to execute those wild ideas.

They will just line people up in forests and fields, then make them dig a pit, and then shoot them into the pit. Then they will cover up the dead and go home.

It has happened before. And it will happen again.

Our society needs balance. It’s time to bring back masculine leadership to protect our most vulnerable.

“Masculine truth: bold, virtuous men deter evil,” wrote Lonsdale.

What is it with these guys fixation on weird masculinity takes? True masculinity isn't about chest-thumping and dick-waving. It's about self-control and maturity. And that in turn is reflected in wisdom, calmness, and respect for others, regardless of gender, sexuality, race, identity, or whatever.

This strikes me as the sign of a very insecure person. The gentleman doeth protest too much.

It seems this ship has sailed, but I really wish people would stop referring to "cryptocurrency" as "crypto". "Crypto" was short for "cryptography" long before some human cosmic mistake did his first 700mg of DPH, shat out the first blockchain, called it "Bitcoin", and convinced a bunch of other dipshits to worship it.
