So you're saying there's a chance?

I think you misheard me. I said Plutatoes.
a source of mass moving through the solar system at some point.
That's interesting.
Shit. You win!
From my understanding the irregularities could also be explained by a source of mass moving through the solar system at some point. I doubt there's such a massive planet that far out there, but it'd be cool if there is.
It makes sense that the objects much farther out require not only better equipment, that we're now using, but the ability to go through lots of records over decades of other work to find the small evidence of something moving very slowly across the stars. It's how we started doing it, but with much narrower windows of time and lots of hours of comparing slides.
It didn't specifically say (that I could understand) but I wonder if they're using the simulations I've seen before that narrowed a Planet X influencer to a few areas of the solar system, based on unexplained motions of known objects. It would make sense they are, why randomly pick a direction when we're sure something is going on from something that might be in a few areas.
What would be wild, and not all that surprising, is to find something, get some decent ranges of its mass and location, and realize it alone isn't enough, and there's a Planet X-2 out there as well. Although I guess if it's large enough the odds of a second gas giant is much less likely than a bunch of dwarf planets, which certainly are still there to find.
Plut-oooooooo after that one horse?
Plutoo is also an option
I'll sign up for Plutwo. I am a simple man, you know.
Ok, I retract my previous suggestion and back Plu2.0. Excellent work there.
After refreshing myself on the article, it seems that Planet X is kinda like a far-flung Jupiter, collecting / influencing all kinds of satellites WAY outside the inner Sol-system orbits.
Point is-- I think you're gonna need a rocket ship precisely calculated to make that happen. 😄
Plu2.0
Well, if they confirm it, I say we call it Pluto.
Great, I hope it collides with earth and lands directly on my head.
Oh wooowwieee I'm so impressed.
How many R are in the word Strawberry?
LLM's can solve these now.
I don't have that user or domain blocked, maybe it's an issue with my instance.
You must have povoq or solarpunk instance blocked? Somebody beat you to it 15 hours ago.
How many R are in the word Strawberry?
I would be, since this is a joint operation by the ESA (Europe) and JAXA (Japan).
Fascinating. Excellence in human engineering and capability.
8-year travel between moving objects, 9 fly-bys on three planets, rerouting after a loss of capabilities, and now a half-year approach into two orbits.
Ah, excellent news.
It is an ESA + JAXA mission though.
With the current admin in charge and NASA gutted for loyalists, I wouldn't be surprised if it crashed into the surface.
It's possible I just put myself in spaces that contain less opposing ideological beliefs. I tend to avoid people that seem unwilling to even consider other options or possibilities. So you might have a point. I actually have no idea. It would be interesting if we could get exact numbers on the overall human races beliefs and opinions on things
