Somehow all my starfish manage to look pantsless

Various starfish of various sizes with comic book style onomatopoiea (BAM!) inside them, except for one, which has a spiral

Session03: Murky (files.catbox.moe)

Prompt(s): MURKY (from inktober 2025, item 4).

Medium: created in Blender, rendered in Godot.

Extra info: Vertex fish (from icosphere) painted and unshaded. The murk is material work (plus vertex color transparency) with 3 objects and 2 materials. One is my glass material, the other is alpha_hash.

Challenge details: do-anything-tober. My lowest goal will be at least 12 sessions for the month.

I mentioned session02 (MOON) in the comment of the last post, here's a better image:

The moon is in the sky, illuminating the green plane, a cube and a truck in the distance casting shadows in the moonlight

It has as much of the parallax effect as I can get without using a separate camera. I probably will do that anyway when I eventually make a vertex skybox.

The Suzanne is just there to show off the chipped (whittled-like) material. Though after 01 I also reworked some things and will likely mostly use a non-textured generic reflective material.

In a pond that borders a purple void, a polygonal fish points its head above a layer of suspended algae.

I'm not an artist, I don't really draw, but I wanted to try my hand at this. Constructive criticism is welcome, but please be gentle.

A draconic figure with a bird-like beak, it's standing on all fours and its wings are small and weak and draped over the side of its body, it's spines are short and soft and it's paws are unclawed and stubby

Fish is fine, just a little bruised (it'll be fine)

On the nick of time! Was pretty busy so just doodled whatever came to mind. Also depth perception the bane of my drawings.

Session01 (lemmy.cafe)

Prompt(s): CROWN (from inktober 2025, item 3) and PUMPKIN (from doodletober week 1, from first post in this comm)

Medium: created in Blender, imported and arranged in Godot.

Extra info: The pumpkin is sculpted and then vertex painted. The branches (and simple materials, environment) are pre-existing.

Challenge details: What-if-I-did-anything-tober. Aiming for 4 entries per-week, likely up-to 12 total (if I stick to it, 16 maybe if it goes well). Using this to refine my workflow, if anything can be rolled into something larger that's good too.

Blender (studio lighting) view:

A gigantic lumpy crowned pumpkin rests at an odd angle on top of twisted leafless trees.

submitted 1 year ago by to c/drawtober@lemmy.world

Haven't drawn in a while and I don't remember having drawn a comic-type drawing before. Came decent, me thinks. =D

Made on Krita with a Gaomon S620.
