In case anyone else was wondering, that flag is an unofficial flag design for 'Greater Sydney': https://www.crwflags.com/fotw/flags/au-ns-gs.html

The Saint George Cross with the superimposed Southern Cross comes from the 'National Colonial Flag': https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Colonial_Flag

No idea what the political implications of it are, but the cookers love to spout off bullshit about archaic laws of some kind, so the colonial connotations probably tie in with that.

I dunno, it's been like, 5 years..... I'm not sure if this whole world-domination-5G-injection-communist-new-world-order-plandemic-slavery thing is working out.... Maybe it's time to update the car with the next Big Conspiracy?

We got drizzle at best. Another Higgins Fizzer.

    Our yard was wet, briefly.

You weren't buying lotto tickets in Sydney recently were you? I hear someone won 60M is all.... Remember you promised me a sneaky mill when you win.

Where's old mate Desiree Minties gone? Too much truck driving, not enough posting photos of toilets on ferries.

I was looking forward to a storm this afternoon but now Higgins has stuck his bib in and decided its a superthell and tornados and end of the world is coming so that obviously means nothing is going to happen. Dammit. I was looking forward to something a bit exciting.

Not all of the various agreements are released yet (some have already been finalised, others are only in principle agreements), but they'll be here when they are: https://www.fwc.gov.au/document-search?search-ui=agreements

Blame the government, in cases where workers are on strike, I'm willing to bet 95% of the time, it's the employers being shitty.

Don't blame your fellow workers, blame those in power.

Striking (even the very limited times were allowed to under laws brought in by the Labor party in the 80s) is one of the few ways working people can exercise power to get a fairer deal under capitalism.

Some context, but not very detailed: https://www.abc.net.au/news/2026-08-18/queensland-rail-reaches-deal-with-train-controllers/107051822

I hate the noise of hydraulic equipment operating. The neighbour is currently (and since 7ish) running a digger in the yard and the constant vrroooo...VROOOOOO...vrro...vrroovrroovrroovrroooooooooooooVRRROOOOO...vroo is really grating.

Normally I wake up on a weekend to the sounds of dozen or birds which is much nicer. Even if it's Koels at 4am 😐
