I'll stick with Kwallet. I've used it since 2000, and used it across different desktops, not just KDE. Personally I use a separate password, and prefer not to open it with my Session Password.

While this is great news. They missed out on a sale to me, as at the time I purchased my Slimbook, Framework did not have Linux pre Installed. Though I don't want a 12 inch monitor either.

I have zero ethical issues with clean room re-implementations of proprietary software that doesn't run on Linux, that allows me to use something that does exactly the same on Linux. If the same code runs on ms glassware, and it takes market from that proprietary software company. I really don't care. They should have made their software available on linux, so bad luck for them.

I'm using Manjaro KDE Plasma. I have currently 3 installations, 1 testing used by me, 2 stable - 1 stable install is a File Server, using the SbK Server spin, the other is used by my partner. I have had zero issues after updates, in 4 years.Prior to Manjaro I was using Linux Mint, which borked on an Version upgrade.Manjaro has been incredibly stable (the testing version as well). Oddly it reminds me of Mandrake which I began using in 2000.

@nickneumann@muenchen.social Prebuilt is Windows only. You cannot get prebuilt with any Linux pre installed. It is obvious they do not consider any Linux based OS as anything but a DIY projectThey are not treating Linux based OSs in the same way as they treat Windows, as a First Class Professional Operating System. That is the reason I won't buy a Framework, it is irrelevent that I can buy the DIY and build it myself, and install what ever OS I choose on it. The fact remains, if I choose not to build it myself, or for some other reason require it to be pre built, my only option is to buy it with Windows. It is why I purchased my new computer from Slimbook, in Spain, and had it shipped to Australia.. It came with Manjaro KDE Plasma pre installed. Which I then reinstalled over, to replace the default btrfs with ext4, and my preferred partitioning scheme.

Framework still refuse to treat Linux based Operating Systems as First class Operating Systems. So I will never even consider them until they do. If they were really serious about supporting Linux based Operating Systems they could quite easily offer their systems with Ubuntu pre-installed. Other vendors, who seriously support Linux, have no problem providing at least 1 Linux based Operating System preinstalled. Many will pre-install the Linux OS of your choice. So using 'choice' as an excuse for not supporting Linux OSs is simply bullshit.
