Jangle all the way. A kinda surfier version of Camera Obscura here.

If you didn't know they are from Busan, you would swear that they are from Bristol and on Sarah Records in the late 80's. The only thing that gives them away is the higher production values of the recording than The Field Mice and maybe the phrasing and diction of the vocals.

This live, studio version is from this year, the song came out on an OST in 2025.

I cannot get enough of jaunty, jangle pop.

An attack that can produce 1.6-1.8 non-penalty xG per match alongside an elite defense that holds teams under 0.8-1.0 allowed is a recipe for winning a lot of matches. We’d all love to see the attacking number go higher, but as we have learned we don’t want to see that at the expense of giving up more opportunities to our opponents.

It would be ideal to marry an elite attack with an elite defense, but the next best outcome is to have a very good attack and an elite defense and that is exactly where Arsenal find themselves.

Wrap your listening gear around this, the opening track from GRUB's self-titled album.

A new band to me, they've appeared over the horizon from Western Australia with a menacing, and hard-hitting debut album. I'm sure they will draw some obvious comparisons but I can also hear a lot of connections across quite a lot of Australian rock from the last 50 years.

If you want to know more about the band, here's a 6 min interview from Australian radio.
