Lol put this in front of a jury. Id never convict in a million years. These fat fuck federal politicians want to charge us for putting our hands up while they're shooting us with ammunitions. The fact there's even a law to charge for this tells me how broken our system has become.

This is why jury trials are super important. They're one of those last-ditch safety measures against a police state.

That's why the people ICE arrests usually don't get to have a trial. They're trying to make a new system where they just get to decide what happens to people.

Prosecutors allege Orellana was helping protesters withstand less-lethal munitions being deployed by Los Angeles police officers and Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies after an unlawful assembly had been declared. [...] Asked how handing out defensive equipment was a crime [...], Essayli insisted Orellana was specifically handing out supplies to violent demonstrators. “He wasn’t handing masks out at the beach. ... They’re covering their faces. They’re wearing backpacks. These weren’t peaceful protesters,” he said.
