Don't believe a thing coming out of these lying billionaires mouths. They are the problem and they all need looking into no matter what side of the political spectrum they appear to be on.

Just read the headline because paywall. Made me giggle as this appears to be the first investigation into AI for sexual harassment towards humans.

The AI is doing what it was purpose designed and built to do.

The guilt is on Elon and xAI staff for building a sexual harassment machine.

Right, the AI isn't acting on its own accord. It was built by people, trained by people, bankrolled by people, and prompted by people. Many of these people want to pretend that AI is somehow on the verge of becoming sentient, because that would absolve them of some guilt, but nothing could be further from the truth. The AI is just correlating pixels the way it was meant to.

While it's slowly devolving into a cesspool al la 4chan it's largely just a symptom of modern social media.

I'm interested to see what the result is for the countries that are slowly banning underage use.

I'm still wondering why any of our government structure is using X or TikTok and not Mastodon, I mean the press will "FOR SURE" fetch the info there like they do with trump

It seems like most people are still clinging to the idea that wherever the biggest audience is is where you have to be. Same thing when Facebook facilitated genocide and people were like "yeah but how will I learn about events my friends are having without Facebook". Basically "nothing is more important than me not having to slightly change how I currently operate".

I take it Musk is having a tantrum about it on Twitter?

The EU at least tries to deal with these criminals. The US is just a "fuck the peasants" kind of place.

The French offices of Elon Musk's X have been raided by the Paris prosecutor's cyber-crime unit, as part of an investigation into suspected offences including unlawful data extraction and complicity in the creation of child pornography. The prosecutor's office said the probe began in January 2025 when it started looking into content recommended by the social media platform's algorithm, before being widened to include its controversial AI chatbot, Grok. In a statement, it added that both Musk and former X chief executive officer Linda Yaccarino had been summoned to appear at hearings in April. X has yet to comment but has previously characterised the investigation as an attack on free speech. X previously described the widening of the probe, in July 2025, in a post at the time, as "politically-motivated" and denied allegations it had manipulated its algorithm. Prosecutors say they are now investigating whether X has broken the law across multiple areas. Among potential crimes it said it would investigate were complicity in possession or organised distribution of images of children of a pornographic nature, infringement of people's image rights with sexual deepfakes and fraudulent data extraction by an organised group. The prosecutor's office also said it was leaving X and would communicate on LinkedIn and Instagram from now on.

    🤦‍♀️
