1/Even if you hate LLMs, you should pay attention to and maybe even get involved with LLMs โ€” to try to mitigate and maybe even prevent some of the ways which they could be used in a harmful way....#AI #ArtificialIntelligence #LargeLanguageModels #LLM #Privacy

2/I don't think LLMs are going to go away โ€” not in the way I suspect some of its hater wish it would.Even after the AI hype-bubble pops โ€” I think LLMs will still be around. It doesn't matter if you hate them, or hate how they were created, or hate their social impact, or whatever โ€” I think people will continue to use LLMs โ€” both now and in the future. But, here is the thing โ€”...#AI #ArtificialIntelligence #LargeLanguageModels #LLM #Privacy

5/Trying to prevent spying is only part of it. We should also try to deal with (potential) manipulation and other negative-sum behavior. Having open-weight models implemented as open-source software is part of it โ€” but, we also need open-data โ€” the data the models were trained off of needs to be available, too.#AI #ArtificialIntelligence #LargeLanguageModels #LLM #Privacy
