Hi Lemmy! Boost 1.0.36 is out 🎉 This release brings smoother scrolling, better video and GIF playback, and lots of fixes. This is the changelog:

Media

• RedGifs videos load directly from RedGifs again
• Giphy posts start playing right away instead of after a few seconds
• Seeking back in videos no longer downloads them again
• Fixed videos uploaded to Lemmy servers (MP4 and WebM) opening as a still image instead of playing
• Fixed RedGifs playing with sound when videos should start muted
• Fixed AVIF images showing a black screen in the full screen viewer with HD images enabled

General

• Links to posts and comments on other Lemmy and PieFed servers now open in the app
• Edit your private messages
• Opening a conversation marks its messages as read, so the inbox badge and notifications clear
• Signing out also ends the session on the server
• Smoother scrolling in comments and posts with images and GIFs, and lighter GIFs
• Settings icons follow the theme colors

• Fixed PieFed posts showing only some of their comments

• Fixed the legacy video player controls showing behind the status and navigation bars
