It just kept getting spammed about things I didn't care about so i watched it. I am gonna discus writing and animation. Just genuin advice.

I am writing the review while watching it scene by scene for the second time.

Episode 1: Animation looks great skits are funny. Knowing the witch is trans, the guy could have been doing a more girly voice I know it can be, done and it makes things later on way more funny and interesting.

After entering the game the film grain makes things look worst and makes details to disapear. End of episode 1 overall good.

Episode 2: Screeming and talking are a bad combination. The guy ranting and the guy panicking is not great. Info dump when the beast shows up in the grave yard and it forshadows a wider problem.

Overall the animation is really good but it's held down by the voice acting and writing here. The reveal was out there and it was weird. Because their was no context or buildup.

I like the guy is a book nerd but everything being conected to being a Lesbian and calling himself a Ally is weird and with no context for me personally.

11 min everything goes down hill. INFO DUMP. I get the reason but dosen't work. I don't know what they are doing really. Animation is still great.

14 it goes back to good. Until gender gets involved you know I get the bit, but what's with the dam rant of the beast. It's just bad writing from there. Everything untill the skeleton giving back his hat is just bad writing and not needed.

The 18 min mark it feels like I skiped 10 episodes and I am at the end of season 1 best way I can explain it and after that. "Hey kid wants some drugs".

The dam main charecter isn't explained at all and this all is just out there. I understand the end scene but it is way too rushed and nothing is explained.

6/10 Great animation great sceenes good idea horrible execution rushed writing. Expecting I automatically care about things like corectlly calling people by their gender considering their is genderless languages and most normal people irl don't care about it.

It expects I know or related to a lot of things I don't. It could explain it to me but rushes way too fast and way too out of nowhere.

I think it's a perfect example of great idea and quality but horrible execution. it does not deserve the 1+ hour video essay recomendations but it does deserve genuin critique.

Huh. This is what trans people must feel like reading bad criticism of the Digital Circus ending. V is the eggiest egg who ever egged, and the first full episode cracks her wide open, and OP's still Not Getting It.

Also: the adjective is "unbiased."

Sometimes a work is aimed at people with whom the creator shares a context, and it's not a failing of the work if it doesn't reach wider than that. Just something to think about if your take is "this doesn't speak to me". Sometimes it's not an accident!
