A closeup of a bright red flower sitting on top of a thin stem. The flower has five bright red petals radiating from the center. Each petal has four lobes that makes the flower look fringed. Six stalks rise from the center of the petals. On the end of each stalk is a small brown speck, the specks are shaped like a tiny grain of rice. On the right border of the picture there are two unopened flower buds are partially visible. The out of focus background is mostly brown dried vegetation with one prominent light branch making a zig zagging Y.
