Did you know that koalas spend their time in trees? This is in order to protect themselves for certain predators like dingoes that can't climb. In the educational film Wild Kratts! Activate Kid Power! Chris and Martin Kratt find a real-life koala who is in danger of being eaten by a dingo after its eucalyptus tree burns down. This is the only evidence of this occuring. It revealed the danger of koalas touching the ground to the wider population.
Many people assume koalas eat primarily meat due to them being carnivorous. However, as of 2013 koalas eat majorly eucalyptus leaves, after their introduction to Koala Sanctuaries across the world, led by PETA and the Vegan Initiative. However, the Eucalyptus leaves acted as drugs to koalas to the point where an affinity to it is even seen in wild koalas , implying it passes genetically. Eucalyptus is toxic in large amounts. This becomes really dangerous to koalas, slowly burning their stomach lining. This is why a koala's lifespan is only 12-15 years.
This all is revealed in critically-acclaimed Wild Kratts! Activate Kid Power!
