In an interview with two Times reporters, President Trump blamed the G.O.P.’s losses on the fact that he was not on the ballot and said he was willing to work with Democrats.

President Trump said Tuesday night that he would accept the results of the midterm elections and was prepared to work with Democrats.

“I am absolutely willing to accept those results,” he said in an interview with The New York Times.

He added: “We’ll work with the Democrats, and we’ll, you know, look forward to working with them. We’ll probably work something out.”

Mr. Trump blamed Republican losses on the fact that he was not on the ballot and said he had no regrets about endorsing candidates such as Senator Darline Graham, Republican of South Carolina, and Ken Paxton, the Republican attorney general of Texas.

Unfortunately Trump still has veto power and it's really hard to override a veto.

Make him veto everything then. I have no problem with that. If they can point to good policy that passes both chambers but then got vetoed I'm fine with that. I'd rather they do that than cave on issues.

Budgets should be fun next year :|
